Meet the Scholar Post Cap!

Just in time for our oldest son to graduate this year, we present our newest post cap, The Scholar.  This sharp cap is great for any stairs.  With curvy trim on the under side, and a simple flat top with out the layers, this cap reminds of the graduation cap we see so often on our scholars, and makes the perfect addition to entry way stairs where you want to make a simple and bold statement. 

The stats on this cap is it adds 1″ to the height of your post, has a 1″ overhang on all sides.  The trim is 1 3/8″ tall.

How to select the wood type:

When selecting a type of wood for your post cap, you want to make sure that you are thinking through the whole project.  If you are planning to put a painted cap on top, then you would want to select our Paint Grade wood for your post cap. If you are looking at staining it, then you would want to match the existing wood, or even go much darker, or lighter depending.  Our pictures so our most common ordered wood type for Post Caps: Red Oak!
